I remember an accident
The wail of the siren
I’m put in the back of the ambulance
Bright lights fading I close my eyes
The god of death hovers over me
“Come with me,” he says
I slowly disconnected from my body
My grandfather leaned to my body’s ear
“now you listen to me,” he say
“you’re not going to die before me.
Open eyes dammit!”
Looking down fall back into my body
Pain returns my eyes open.
