was this fair and just? The courts seem to think so.

according to this site the supreme court took on a case to see if the if a need for work trumped Relgious law. Cheryl Perich of Missouri had to take sick leave from her post with the understanding that she would be allow to return. she was suffering from narcolepsy in 2004-2005 school year.

in January she said she could come back in febuary with doctor approval. due to the fact that the school was worried they said "hey here your retirment pay please leave." she took it presonal and took her case Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. and the commission took it to the Courts.

Well, it an obiovous what happend. the church declared its first amendmant right to extend to church law. so here the quetion i ask you was it right yes or no?

    I'm not comfortable with the decision but the information is sketchy also so that puts a bit of a glitch in my view, perhaps.

    So true, half the time we don't get enough information to make a sound opinion so that's a big problem. I believe that there are times when "say anything" is the mindset and when these statements backfire there is a big issue.

    Given the information presented, the church must be treated only as an employer, not as a religious entity. As such, they were wrong. I have a hard time believing that "You're Fired" is a religious message protected under the first amendment...

    I think "I'm not sure" should be a poll choice. Situations like this may not be so black-and-white and thus being able to choose "unsure" may be a valuable poll addition.....

    We cannot afford any Churches, they are excluded from the Constitution, let us just get on with what has to be done, and keep Religion away from the GOP/TP Demented Unsupreme Court.

    What did that rubbish cost us, a $Million or 20$Million.
